Little Ice Age - The band

Little Ice Age began life as 'The Sunroom' in 2002, formed by Brothers Tim and Josh Versteegh. It was their home recorded 'Warning Signs Demo' cd, which landed them a spot at the 'Off The Couch' youth music festival in April 2003. At this event The Sunroom made their first appearance as a four piece, being joined by Rebecca Burge (bass) and Stevie Banham (drums).

9 months later they recorded a 7 track mini album entitled "Afternoon Shadow" at Broadcast and Mixmasters studios. In April 2004, twelve months after their first ever show, they launched 'Afternoon Shadow' at The Jade Monkey with No Through Road.

The album was received positively by local and interstate street press and radio. The band now has a collection of impressive reviews and has had regular airplay on 3D Radio (Adelaide), and FBI Radio (Sydney). The band has also received airplay on 4ZZZ (Brisbane), RRR (Melbourne) and on Triple J's 'Home and Hosed' Program. Reviews can soon be found on the bands web site: www.littleiceage.com

The band has been keeping a regular performance schedule around Adelaide and hopes to tour Interstate in the near future. Some of the bands favourite shows to date have included playing with Paper Tiger, Aviator Lane, No Through Road, Wagons, The Bites, Straight To Video, Preston School of Industry and Sarah Blasko.
